From the balcony, a loving dad sighted
His four-year-old daughter on a Saturday
Crawling from the dining through the staircase
Struggling to make her way up
with obvious difficulty

This was a troubling sight for her father
Who was watching this strange scenario
Her uncle echoed and he reached out to her,
“Get up from the floor and walk properly”, he said

She answered, “I can’t”, and began to cry
He raises her up, but she falls back to
The floor not being able to walk

Her father in disbelief of what was
happening to his girl
A child who had gone to school
the previous day strong, healthy and happy
Was now unable to walk, what had gone wrong?

She was taken to several doctors
And they all confirmed she had a crippling disease
and will never walk again

Her father being a preacher
knew that this was a strong test of faith
He dared to believe in the word of God,
Which he preached, He took up his shield of faith,

With the Word of God
ready to quench the fiery darts
of fear and doubt

He erased the negative pictures
of his crippled daughter from his mind
And replaced them with positive pictures in line
With his positive daily confessions

“My little girl will walk again
She will run again, she will jump again
No stopping her”

In the face of this critical adversity
His faith in the powerful name of Jesus
Was unshakable
Glory to the mighty name
That works wonders

Then one glorious day, at the car park
His little daughter opened the car door
And shouted, “Daddy, see what I can do”

She leapt out of the car,
Stood on her two legs and began
running around in a circle
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Her father cried out with so much joy
And with gratitude to the Lord
Saying, “Thank You, Lord Jesus,
I knew You would do it,
I knew You would do it”

Blessed be Your wonderful name
That never fails
And by Your Word, we are ever victorious

Blessed be the Lord, who sits on the throne
Blessed be the Lord, Creator of all
You alone are God in all of the earth
Blessed be the Lord,
Your Word never fails

Your Word is beautiful
Most glorious is Your name
Wonderful are Your ways

Blessed be the Lord
My mouth sings Your praise
Sings Your praise
